Our Farm Story
I'm Marney, a retired hospice nurse who grew up in New Zealand—a country of 5 million people and 60 million sheep! My wool journey began in 2014 when I purchased ten Coopworth lambs from Owens' Farm in Pennsylvania.
While caring for my elderly father in New Zealand during 2020, I deepened my passion for spinning, felting, and knitting. Upon returning to my U.S. farm in 2022, I used part of my father's legacy to establish my "Legacy Flock" of six Corriedale sheep: Iris, Jasmine, Kalei, Lilac, Marigold, and Ruppert the ram, all sourced from Geof Ruppert at Windbourne Farm (www.ruppertscorriedales.com).
The Corriedale breed, developed in New Zealand, combines the fine fiber of Merino with the long staple of Lincoln sheep. These wonderful animals provide both quality meat and exceptional fiber. Now my greatest challenge is finding enough time to tend my sheep, orchard, and garden while pursuing my fiber arts!

Looking out my window at grazing sheep brings me great joy—I see the redemptive hand of God in it all.
